Science Centre Fun Day 19 May 2007

The MTN Science Centre had a fun day on 19 May 2007. This is one of the places that the kids all love to go to. They are allowed to run around freely and touch the displays : a child's dream. No parents saying "Don't touch". There was a TechnoJunk event where you had to build something out of all parts from old computers, typerwriters, etc. Julie and Juliana made a dragon. Bianca and Adrian (and a little help from Michaela) made a robot man.


Much to Michaela's delight her buddy, Robyn, and her brother, Mark, also joined us for a while.

Next it was off to the Volcano making event. We have a few budding scientists (some madder than others) in our crowd!


After all the action, it was time to refuel at Wimpy.

The day ended with Julie, Bianca and Michaela having a spin on the Gyro!

Berg River 9 - 11 March 2007

Another fun filled weekend at the Berg River resort. This time we were 5 sets of campers. We were given some Land Rover tubes by a friend - this gave the kids hours of fun running up the river bank and then sailing down the rapids. If only we could harnass that energy we'd never have a power shortage again.

The Gonsalves family joined us for the weekend. Miikha was having loads of fun on the tube...

Tiago wasn't fazed by the fact that he was surrounded by girls - he was too busy having fun!


Carla's cousin, Monique, and David joined us for the weekend in their tiny tent. And they weren't going to be left out of the fun...

After a busy day the kids settle down to recharge their batteries :

Juliana had already recharged her batteries during the day!

Eve turns 6!

Aunty Maree arranged to have Eve's party at the water slides in Muizenburg. We hadn't been there before - didn't know what we were missing. There are 3 slides for the kids to go on. They were up and down the whole day. It was great fun!
